PAPUA - Amidst the glowing warmth of a bright afternoon, the soldiers of Yonif 732/Banau’s Pos Julukoma Task Force went beyond their military duties to deliver something far more precious care, compassion, and health. On Friday, June 20, 2025, the team of dedicated medical professionals embarked on a mission that would change lives in the remote Julukoma Village in Papua.
In an area far removed from the conveniences of urban healthcare facilities, where medical treatment is often a distant hope, the Yonif 732/Banau Task Force reached out to the community with a door-to-door medical service. This heartfelt initiative served as a lifeline for villagers who struggle to access basic healthcare, and a powerful reminder that TNI's commitment to the Papuan people goes beyond security and defense.
One of the most touching moments occurred when Kopda Eko, a medical team member, took the initiative to personally visit Mama Yakomina, a beloved local resident, for a thorough health check-up. With the help of his colleagues, Pratu Bendri and Pratu Indarto Yudi, they offered much-needed care and reassurance to the residents, ensuring that their health concerns were addressed in a timely and effective manner.
“We are here to provide real solutions for the people who have limited access to healthcare. Julukoma is far from the nearest health facility, and we are here to ease that burden, ” said Letda Inf Dismas, the Commander of the Julukoma Post.
“This initiative shows that we are not just here for security, but to help improve their quality of life in every way possible.”
The villagers expressed their deep gratitude, as the TNI’s presence in their community not only symbolizes security but also support and solidarity in times of need. For them, the military is not just a force of protection, but a reliable partner in improving their everyday lives.
With each check-up, each interaction, and each word of encouragement, the bond between the Papuan people and the Indonesian military grows stronger, creating a legacy of trust and mutual care that transcends the traditional role of the military.
